WASHINGTON, DC USA
April 19 - 26, 2002

CONVENTION HOST:
Washington's range of historic attractions, museums, hotels and restaurants is unrivaled by any other American city. Washington is full of delightful parks and recreation areas for daytime fun, as well as a variety of nightclubs and theaters for evening entertainment.

Three airports service Washington, including Washington National Airport, located almost in the heart of the city, handles domestic flights. Washington Dulles Airport, 26 miles west of the city, handles international and domestic flights. Baltimore Washington Airport is 29 miles north of Washington and handles international and domestic flights.

Union Station, only a few blocks north of the Capitol, is worthy of a visit whether you have a train to catch or not. Amtrak provides rail service from Washington anywhere across the U.S.A and Canada.

Typical of the eastern coast of the United States, warm weather prevails from April until September.

The XXII FIG Congress and the ACSM Annual Conference will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.
