April 24th, 1998    Tomorrow I leave back for home. What a drag. Oh well, today was a pretty good day. I woke up in psycho Randy's house. I went into the kitchen with dad and waited for Randy. He came in and offered me some Cheerios with this weird organic, vegetarian milk so I only ate one bowl. We talked to Jan for a while because Randy had to show his workers where to fill up some hole in the ground. He came back and we got ready. Randy then took us shooting which was probably one of the best times during the whole trip. I fired the Rifle Carbine with one clip(15 bullets). I hit the targets pretty good. Then I fired the Mini Thirty and it was heavy and had a lot of kick and I kept on hitting my shoulder on Randy's bumper. I fired one magazine (30 bullets) of the Mini Thirty.

Then I fired the Paratrooper Carbine and I didn't use any sights on it and I did good. I fired it once with my nose too close to the stock of the gun and it kicked back and hit me right in the nose, but I shook it off and wiped off a bit of blood. I fired one clip of that. Then dad started firing the weapons and he has really good aim. Randy just goes crazy and shoots everywhere, but he kept it in a reasonable range. Randy said that we rattled off about 75 dollars worth of ammo. I was putting the brass shells into his jeep and I hit a barrel of one

of the guns and I burned my wrist. We went back to his house and put the guns away and we noticed that he had a big arsenal of guns and ammo. We left Randy's house and started driving to Pagosa Springs to pick up Joel. Along the way I noticed that I left my necklace at Randy's house and I freaked out. We decided we would call Randy and tell him to mail it to us. We picked up Joel at Carol's house and I kept on finding more and more pets. She has one dog, two cats, and like a billion fish. We left Carol's and headed to Salida. We drove for a while and I was depressed because I'm leaving tomorrow and that I left the necklace at Randy's house. We got to Salida and we checked into a Bed & Breakfast because dad knew one of the people who lived there. It was a nice place and the owner showed us our rooms and the video rooms and the bathrooms etc..... I went into the video room and I saw that she had Forrest Gump so I watched that while dad and Joel went out to eat. They brought me back a barbeque beef sandwich and mashed potatoes. I finished watching Forrest Gump and went into the hallway where I am now typing this up. Dad promised that we'll go through South Park tomorrow. I'll probably write back to this journal on the plane tomorrow. See ya!
