NWC Newsletter
Hello All!
The class reunion was a most enjoyable and rewarding experience. We were joined by the class of 1959 and 1961. It was good to visit with many folks that I had not seen in years! Over 100 classmates and loved ones were in attendance. Cudos to all of the committee members that worked so hard to make this reunion a memorable event!
I have given the NWC website a facelift and photos of the festivities at the Sportsman's Club and Twin Hills Country Club (on right) are now online. If you have any pics that you would like to see published, please attach them to an email and send them my way. I need your help to make the site interesting and informative!
Also, remember that we still get together on the third Thursday every month for a little fun and conversation. These are a very casual gatherings and you are always welcome. If you live out of town and happen to be in OKC, drop by and say hello. See the schedule below..

Summer time and the old Bucks are a swimming!
Keeping our bodies fit has become something that seems to be more difficult, but is most important for our health and well being. As Mr. Savage on the left demonstrates, a dip in the pool is one very good way to keep the ol' bod fit and trim. Click Pic to expand.
In order to live long and fulfilling lives, the experts tell us that there are a few simple things we should do; take more exercise, give up smoking, reduce our stress levels; eat less fat; drink in moderation, and so on.

Here are some fun ways to help maintain health:
• Walking is an obvious, simple exercise which does not require specialized equipment and can be done almost anywhere. Consider walking indoors when the weather is inclement (mall, senior's building). If you feel more adventurous and fit, hiking can be very enjoyable.
• Swimming and aquafitness are also great exercises because they don't strain your knees and ankles.
• Joining a fitness class for seniors can help you socialize while you exercise. Such programs also have the advantage of being led by qualified instructors who will make sure your workout is complete and appropriate. You will learn some exercises which you can do on your own later.
• Dancing is a fun way to exercise and helps you continue feeling young.
• Gardening is very popular and forces you to use many muscles and gives you a sense of accomplishment.
• Golfing is a great way to enjoy the fresh air and be with friends.
• In the winter time, cross-country skiing is one of the most complete exercises you can find.
